I have been DJ`ing in and around venues in Brighton and then all around Sussex since 1991. It all started in Swift`s Bar, West Street Brighton to be exact and all the fault of Rich `D` & Lee Jay! The guilty pair can be found here too!
On this Journey I have met many good people and acquired a massive music collection along the way. Music .........it`s addictive you know!
I then ventured into local radio around 2008. Through this I have been introduced to many different music genres and radio production styles and training. Seeing good Local Radio practically vanish, wanting to do something local and do things differently to the clones the idea of Radio Crawsham was born!
After much work, now approaching 18 months, along with a few others you will find on this page we have finally got there!
So what`s the plan?
On Radio Crawsham, I will be delving into my vast indie collection playing the new and old with `the Radio Crawsham Afternoon X Show`. Trying the `something different` bit I will be bringing you `Radio Crawsham Sunrise` every morning with 3 hours of chilled and ambient tunes to start your day right! Staying true to my DJ`ing roots you will also find me on `the Radio Crawsham `Friday Dance Zone` with my good pal and fellow Radio Crawsham co founder the legendary Jason Gray. Here we will be digging around our record boxes playing the best Dance Anthems, with classics that take you right back to those days as well as finding out the new ones making new memories for us all today.
So buckle up and lets see what this thing can do! Ashley

Hi My name is Graham Pritchard and I have been DJ`ing over the years playing a range of different music genres. However, the one genre I love in particular is the Blues. I will be bringing you a range of Blues music from the vaults of yesteryear to the latest Electric Blues. This will show the incredible spectrum of music from chilling out Blues to the down and lively. I`m particularly interested in the Blues local live scene and will be happy to cover any live events in my show.
I first got into Radio and Dj’d to a massive audience consisting of my parents and a School Friend when I was 13 using a Matsui MIDI Hi Fi! Since then I’ve been lucky enough to do it properly starting in 1995 on Radio Cracker and HLR in Hastings. After Moving onto the Club Scene having a residency in Eastbourne, I continued on local radio up until a few years back when there just wasn’t enough hours on the day to continue.
Happy to say I’m back, have helped co found the station and hopefully back with a bang! Here on Radio Crawsham you will catch me on `Weekday Breakfast` through to `Mid Morning` and then banging out those Dance Anthems with Ashley Waite on the `Friday Night Session`

Hi my name is Lee Jay, I was born at a very early age as a result of a brilliant idea my parents had! When it comes to growing up I was born in Gloucester, dragged up in Birmingham and thrown out of Brighton.
I guess I am one of those people who have lived their lives through music, good times, bad times and even better times. First in Bands, then DJing on the road and in some fantastic clubs as well as on the radio.
My own musical tastes are wide and varied, Soul, Motown, Reggae, Blues, Rock, Jazz It's not the Genre for me it's the Music. The best music ever.......Probably hasn't been written yet.
"On Your Radio" is a random collection of new music by both established artists and new unsigned artists of all genres, plus an interview and a couple of features.
I believe the music hasn't died, it's alive and well we just have to look for it. Cheers Lee

WE LOVE THE 70`S
I bought my first single in 1969 `Sugar Sugar` by `The Archies` I continued collecting a rather cross section of music until my best friend bought me `Burn` by Deep Purple for my 18th birthday! That was it, I became a life long `rocker` from then on! My first love is ROCK as is my second & third love , although The Carpenters are my guilty pleasure!!
Aside from Rock, I also love 60s & 70s music, probably because I lived through them! My love of Radio has been going for more years than I care to remember now. I have 25+ years with Sunshine Radio on the Isle of Wight & a stint on internet radio with Vectis Radio for eight years, then I seemed to get offers to broadcast my shows all over the place!
A final thought....If someone had told me back in 1969 not to collect the 6000 plus albums I have collected over the decades because one day you'd be able to access them and more on a mobile phone that fits in the palm of your hand I'd have never have believed it!
Mind you, I did enjoy collecting them!

I started to DJ in 1976 . Growing up listening to Tamala Motown and becoming a huge fan of the Philadelphia International and Salsoul labels. I Became a club DJ before I was old enough to attend as a customer! Influenced by the Mega Sound systems of legendary DJ`s Emperor Rosko and Froggy, the Rich Edwards Roadshow became much in demand for it’s power and clean loud sound and with it the first pair of Technics SL1200`s in the local area! I worked at all the nightclubs in the local area and far beyond including the Roundabout where the Monday Night Jazz-Funk night played host to legendary DJ`s from the North of England as well as many of the Funk Mafia regular team members.Playing Jazz-Funk Clubs and All-Dayers throughout the UK, including the Blackpool Mecca and The National Funk Day and working live with the bands of the era including `The Players Association/Mass Production/ Shakatak / Bobby Thurston/ Sylvester/ Light Of The World/ The Real Thing/ Womack & Womack/Brass Construction` and many more. The Roadshow led to regular supporting appearances for Radio stations in the UK and a summer Season as The Radio Luxembourg Roadshow – working closely with commercial radio stations led to a full time career of over 30 years as presenter/ program director / specialist show presenter at numerous UK stations including Radio Wyvern /Aston FM/ Big City Radio/Classic Gold/ Classic Hits among others.Radio shows included ‘The Dance Factory” a ground breaking dance music radio show with a national reputation. Radio led to an introduction to TV work and include regular supporting artist roles in programs as diverse as “Only Fool And Horses” – “Eastenders” – “Doctors” – “Teachers” – “Chucklevision” – “Casualty” – “Boon” – “ Skins” and more.Rich remains active on radio and live DJ gigs – focusing on presenting the internationally acclaimed “SmoothGrooves” Radio Show playing smooth jazz and more – showcasing young undiscovered talent and new music as well as the established stars of the genre from all around the world and reporting to the Smooth Jazz charts in the USA.I still DJ at Smooth Jazz Festivals around Europe including Mallorca /Italy/Germany/ Portugal playing my passion of “Old Skool Grooves” and sharing live artist interviews on Social Media from the Festivals and closer to home playing at various events in the UK including the regular SmoothGrooves nights at numerous venues.Still loving the music and humbled to be able to include many of my musical heroes as personal friends. SmoothGrooves continues to spread the word about great music.
SMOOTHGROOVES
Jeff started taking a real interest in music from an early age. He became interested in DJing when his brother teamed up with a friend and used to do the clubs and pubs in the mid-70s.
He developed a love of independent music in the 80s initially. By then he was fed up with listening to the same top 10 songs played ad nauseum and started looking at alternatives.
He believes there is a significant number of like-minded listeners who also want something different. Hence the A & R Show, Album tracks and rarities, the kind of thing you don`t normally hear on mainstream radio. Having been an avid listener to an online station for a few years, he approached the owner about doing a one-off special. It was well-received, and as a result he was offered a weekly slot. The rest as they say is history. He now presents for a number stations in the UK, America and Europe. He really enjoys preparing and recording his show, as it really gets him thinking about what to play, and when. Off-air he enjoys the
theatre, both on- and back-stage, and seeing local bands play.
The Deuce Show is a one hour show presented by Matt Barker. The show features the very best in new and independent music from around the world and puts a spotlight on these great up and coming artists.
Further information on the Deuce Show and the all the artists that featured in the shows can be found at www.deucemusic.com

Hi I'm Phebe and I fell in love with Radio while growing up in Eastbourne, listening to Heart Sussex every morning on the way to school and being apart of my school radio station. I moved to Crawley in late 2023 after graduating with a Journalism degree and wanted to get involved in music radio as well as news reporting on all things local. I love musical theatre, Doctor Who and a good nostalgia song. I'm going to be taking you back to the hits and forgotten songs from the last decade. The songs I grew up with & loved, including songs from my favourite bands Mcfly, One Direction, The Script and 5 Seconds of Summer and maybe even the Doctor Who soundtrack. So sit back and time travel back with me throughout the 2010s.

Lockdown brought a lot of sad times, but also brought a lot of us all closer together. Many moons ago when I was a lot younger I used to work with a man that did mobile disco's. So as you do when you are young, I popped along and was hooked straight away. So I jumped onto the bandwagon and got involved hands on, how all the gear worked etc etc
Did that for many years then got into the pub and club circuit. However after getting married the years slipped by I did not carry on with this hobby for many years. Then we had LOCKDOWN so I started doing sets online, Instagram & Facebook etc which rekindled my passion. I then got in touch with my old boss who runs a local community radio station. After a few beers I talked him into giving me a regular show.
Then came along another station - So as you can guess things have taken off very well so I have put together "That 90's & 00's Show" now broadcasting here on Radio Crawsham & numerous radio stations around the world
